Fantasy Football

Remember this post?  Well, Brian and I had our own two-person pick'em league again... and again, after a complete season... WE TIED.  This is after a 3 game differential going into week 16.

This year, the stakes were: Winner does dishes for a week

Guess the dishes aren't going to get done...

But maybe I'll finally get my foot massage.

P.S. After a really intense week 16 MNF game, Brian did come in first and third in his actual fantasy football leagues!  Damaryius Thomas FTW!

Two Little Monkeys

An Arizona basketball game at UNLV was a great reason for a group of our friends to come visit us in Las Vegas.  Sad for them that U of A lost and too bad Brian, Leah, and I had work/school while they were here, but we made the most of our limited time together and had a lot of fun!

It was the first time Leah and Jack really got to play together and the air mattress was location of choice.  Only a few more years of being on the bed together, you two!

Two little monkeys jumping (crawling) on the bed!

Kisses all around

Hugs!

More hugs... believe me when I say they didn't stop for a good long while.  Leah loves Jack!

And while Dana and I had girls' night with babies, the gang was back together:

Miss you all!  Come back soon!

Happy Chanukah

It's been another successful eight nine crazy nights!  This year, we celebrated Chanukah with friends, with cousins, and with our own little family.  It was a great holiday with lots of yummy brisket and latkes.  Thanks to everyone who thought of us and Leah during the week and sent such fun packages!

Lots of new books!
Leah got a new lunchbox to use in her new big girl classroom

Lover of all bags

Even Adam and Adam got in on the candle lighting action!
New puzzles
Pretty Chanukah dress from Yaya
Happy Chanukah everyone!
Thanks Markham friends for the best Chanukah gift!  Even Leanne is excited about it :~)
KU, ASU, and princess candles (thanks Mom)
Leah helping put together her new race track
Thanks for the Chanukah set, Yaya!
We hope your holiday season is as bright as a fully lit menorah (or three)

Becoming a Daddy

At 8:21pm on October 10, 2013, Brian became a father to his newborn daughter.

Last week, he became a little girl's Daddy.

"Look Leah, Daddy has a sparkly hat!" -Brian

Happy holidays everyone!

Best day because for the next six months the days get longer and longer!

Just a Girl and her Dog

Johnny turned into a cocker spaniel and took a picture with Leah.

Oh wait, that's me (and Ginger, in case you were wondering)!

Eyes

Kept Leah home from school today because she woke up looking like this:

And later, this:

My guess is allergies, and here's why:

Mama gets the same swollen, watery eye (that's not right now, thank goodness)!

And after a two hour morning nap:

GONE-ZO!

Hopefully she wakes up with clear eyes tomorrow because if I were her teacher I wouldn't let her near my classroom looking like that, no matter what Mom claims it is!

Cousins #2

On Saturday we met Josh and his girlfriend, Erica, for lunch. Good pizza, good company, what else could you ask for on a Saturday?!

Loved meeting you, Erica, and seeing you both! Come visit us again soon!

Star Student

Guess who is the Star Student in the Angels classroom this month?!

Leah!

In case it's too small to read, Leah's favorite word is "more" (as in food), she enjoys buggy rides and lunchtime, and her favorite food is ALL (with TWO exclamation points).

I'm sensing a trend in Leah's preferences for food....

Cousins #1

December is the month of cousins and friends!  Cousin visit #1...

Julie spent her bachelorette weekend in Las Vegas (wonderfully planned by Lisa) and I was invited to spend some time with the party on Friday night.  I had a great time celebrating with Julie and catching up with old friends!

Sunday night, an exhausted Julie and Lisa (Discover commercial, anyone?) came over to spend some time with us and Leah's thighs.

We wish the visit wasn't so short, but we loved visiting with you and can't wait to see you again at Julie's wedding in only a few weeks!

Walking

A few weeks ago...
Friend: Is Leah walking yet?
Brian and Dana: Yes
Friend: How long has she been walking?
[At the same time] Brian: Two months / Dana: Two weeks

Yup, so we have slightly conflicting definitions of walking, but either way, she can do it, and she walks EVERYWHERE!  Not too much of a drunken sailor here- Leah waited until she knew she could walk well before taking off.  She navigates floor transitions well, and practically runs (especially when she's naked and knows how cute her little tush is).

Thanksgiving

Some pictures from our visit to Phoenix during Thanksgiving:

Not loving the grass...

...at all!

Hugs from Grandpa

Go Sun Devils!

Dancing with Daddy

Hanging out with Noa

With Grandpa and Bubbie
I was so happy to see so many friends and have time to spend with family since we were there a little longer than normal.  I wish I had pictures from our get-together with SARRC friends and babies, but the memories will have to do :~)  Baby Casey even made his appearance early because he just couldn't wait to meet me!  We enjoyed our trip and DEFINITELY made the right decision to come home on Saturday- it made the whole week feel so much better. See you in a few months, Phoenix!

Visitors

This weekend we got to spend some time with Aunt Barbara and Uncle Jim! One of the best parts of living in Las Vegas is all of our visitors... Like I always say, you don't have to come to Vegas to visit us, but if you come to Las Vegas you have to make plans to visit us!

And Johnny, as we were reading a book about "puppy playing peek-a-boo"!
