Feeling Human

Well, it's proven to be quite the emotional week: feeling super icky, house deal fell through, overwhelmed at work (not to mention all the good-byes that have started), Brian's still 270 miles away, etc.

It's amazing what some antibiotics can do!

Minus the parasite growing in my belly, I'm finally feeling human again.  Phew!

Ignore the well-placed smudge on the mirror in the picture above.  Or... just pretend it's Obi and you have x-ray vision!

What's a blog post without some Johnny?

Weekend of Favorites

The weekend started off on a great foot Friday afternoon!  Some of my favorite SARRCies threw me a joint baby shower- the decorations were right up my alley, the food was delicious, the games were fun, and the company was enjoyable as always!  Some of my old favorites even came by to celebrate :~)

I didn't take too many pictures, and unfortunately none with people in them... but the ones I did take will help me remember it always!

Then Friday evening Brian came back in town!  The weekend was filled mostly with packing (my house is sooooo empty!), but being with Brian makes everything better.  We accepted an offer on our house which was pretty emotional for both of us- such a relief and pretty sad all at the same time.  Fingers crossed that everything goes well with the inspection and we can limit our worries once I am officially living in Las Vegas.

Saturday we saw Man of Steel (eh) and Saturday night we had a super nice dinner with Carol and Micah to celebrate Brian's birthday.  Sunday was just more packing and enjoying each other's company.

Happy Birthday Brian!

This man:

is my favorite.  Johnny's too.

And... it's his birthday today!  HAPPY BIRTHDAY, BRIAN!  We love you!

We celebrated Brian's birthday this past weekend when he was in town.  I surprised him with the chance to drive one of his dream cars- SO FUN!  Brian got to choose between a Ferrari and Lamborghini... any guesses which one he picked?

The Ferrari- did you get it right?!
85+ miles per hour, 485 horsepower (or "ponies" as I've learned they're called).  Yeah, he was pretty happy.

Happy Birthday, My Love!  Here's to your last year in your twenties!

Good Things

Things that are good about today:

1. I am only a day behind in posting weekly bump pictures and a doctor update.  Had an appt yesterday and everything is right on track.  We even heard the heartbeat again and it sounds strong as ever!
6/6- 22 weeks 1 day

6/5- 22 weeks (please note, this picture is totally stretched!)

6/5- 22 weeks
2. Burn Notice starts tonight (bad news?  last season :~/)
3. EIGHT day until we see Brian!
4. D'backs may be getting destroyed tonight (so I guess this is a good thing about the last two days), but they destroyed the Cardinals last night and that makes me smile.
5. Got a nice reminder of Zeze today (not that I need specific reminders, but this one was GOOD):
Emma, 8.5 months

6. Came home to a not destroyed house three days in a row.  Johnny and I are hanging tough!
7. I'm eating Shells and Cheese for dinner (don't worry, Brian, I made a healthy chicken recipe too).
8. People now associate me with funny t-rex pictures.  For example:

9. It's Sara and Ari's last day of school!  Smiley face :~)

Moving Day: Part II

Virtual tour of the new Aronson home!

The house is lacking furniture, and therefore places to put things, but it's shaping up!  I'll post more complete pictures over the summer once I move in.

View from the front door, looking through the living room to the kitchen-

 360 view of the kitchen-

Hi Chad!
Hi Brian!

View from the kitchen, through the living room and into the office.  At the back right of the office you can see the entry into the hallway by the guest room-

Closer peek at the office and door to the guest room.  Other entry to the hallway is to the right of the coat closet door in the first picture-

Views down the hallway.  Right side: guest room (behind), laundry, entry to living room.  Left side: guest bath, nursery-to-be.  Master at the far end-

Can't wait for everyone to come visit!

Moving Day: Intermission

Moving Day: Part I

Pretty much everything was awesome this weekend.

Friday started with a Breakfast of Champions...

...in a not quite stuffed Uhaul (we STILL do not have more stuff than we thought we had, so everyone can stop asking)...

...with a scenic pit stop to fix the auto-transport (and 5 others to use the bathroom)...

...and a delicious snack to keep me happy (thanks Dana!)...

...and a daytime view of the Hoover Dam bridge and Lake Mead...

...before finally reaching our new home state (7 hours later)!

I was literally shaking as we signed the lease and entered the house that we just signed for, but hadn't yet seen (pictures in the next post), but it was more than I could have asked for.  Our cozy 1400 square foot house is just perfect for us!  Friday afternoon consisted of unpacking and actually making it to Shabbat services.  Saturday, Brian was in heaven because as he ran to pick up bagels, look what he found in the parking lot:

1950 something pick-up: Brian's next car
1966 Shelby Cobra
There were more, but I don't know what they are so they don't get posted ;~)

On Satuday we finished unpacking as much as we could, while Brian's temp roommate moved his stuff in.  Chad- who also went to ASU and started a job with McCarthy- will be living with Brian for a week or two until he can move into his apartment.  I'm glad that he has company!  Saturday night we checked out the local movie scene in Las Vegas (aka Regal Theaters) and saw Now You See Me.  Still not sure what I thought about it, but if our lives from Phoenix transition smoothly, we'll be spending a lot of time in that theater!

Sunday was more errands, cleaning, napping, and saying goodbye.  While I already miss Brian like crazy, I am so glad to know that everything is going so well in Las Vegas and that I'll have a home to return to in just four short weeks!
